101 Things Item 29

Number 29 is Take a Bubble Bath. I am happy to report it has been completed!!

Now some may say this is not a big deal but, for me, it is. I had to find bath products that I didn't react to. Thanks to my dear friend Christina, I found Lush.

Lush is wonderful handmade bath products! They are all natural, some are even vegan! I went into the store and was overwhelmed with the smell but on a mission to get bubble bath products along with some other products to try. I came out with a bubble bath bar and a few bath bombs.

They are heaven and the best reaction to them!! Lush I love you!

101 Things Item 15 complete

Number 15 on the list was to plan a date that was not just dinner and a movie.

I completed this on by attending the Plano Balloon Festival. I had always wanted to go but never managed to get there while it was here. This year....I made a point to go!
The festival was fun. James and I along with Patrick, Charlotte, and the girls went. While we were there I ran into my cousin Connie and her family. It was so nice to be out with good friends and family.

The weather did not permit the launching of balloons but we did get to the glow show. All the balloons do a burn and it makes it look like they are glowing. It was pretty!! They had all kinds of balloons there. We saw a lady bug, a pirate ship, an ark, a monster, along with regular balloons.

They also had a memorial to 9/11 right as you walked in. I don't know about you but I have never been able to actually see a piece of the buildings that fell that day. I felt honored to finally be able to see it. Here is what they had.

I was inspired by my friend over at Simply.Organized.Chaos. to create a list of 101 things to complete in 1001 days. You can read about it here

For me it took some time to come of with 101 things I wanted to. I googled ideas, asked around, and searched my brain. (Yes I know that is scary but it all turned out ok. Whew)

Wow I am a slacker

I apologize for the month of silence!! Here is a super quick update for my faithful, silent, blog readers. :)

Running is going at this point. I cant say it is going well or that it is going really bad. It is just going. The weather has been so dang hot that it takes a toll on you! My pace has dropped and I am not able to run flat out. I have to take walking breaks. The walking kills me. I feel that I should be able to just go run at this point and I can not. I am still plugging away at it. I have registered for my race, The White Rock Half on December 4! Ready or not I will do it!!

I will win!

I thought I should post an update on how my running is going since the last one was so down in the dump.
After the last update I put my mind to the fact that I was going to work on this and I was going to win. I started running outside more, eating somewhat better, and drinking a crapton more water. On Thursday I went for a run and it seems to have been a turning point. I ran 2 full miles without walking one single step and felt amazing after!
Saturday morning came along and I was so eager to see how it went. I showed up at the park only to find out I was the only one there! I was ticked to say the least. I managed to find the group and catch up. I had another amazing run to boot!! I love this turn and hope that the trend keeps up!!
I have my August race next Saturday so we will see how it goes!

I apologize for the long silence. I have been super busy!
I have started training for a half marathon! Yes I very well could be insane. It has been a struggle but one I am not willing to quit on. I do my long runs on Saturday mornings, boy 5 am comes super early on Saturdays! I will keep you all updated on my progress.
I am happy to report that Christina and I have kept up the one race a month! We are kicking butt and taking names! We are really enjoying the races too!
